Terms of service

As a potential customer/commissioner, or as an existing customer/commissioner, with your first payment you agreed to and are required to abide by the Terms of Service set forth for Sparkle Kreations, LLC.

Allergies

We do have cats and dogs in our home environment, however our workshop is kept pet-free as much as possible. We do our best, though sometimes pet dander and fur can sometimes wander in uninvited. If you have extreme allergies, we do recommend you look elsewhere for your costume. If you have mild allergies, you should not be affected, and when you get your project from us, take the time to gently wash and disinfect it before wear.

Blockchains, NFTS, & Cryptocurrency

We do not work with blockchains, NFTs, or blockchain-related technology; to include (but not limited to) NFTs, cryptocurrency, or future inventions and ideals in this space. If any our artworks & creations or our mascots (Sparkle & Dazzle) and their related artworks (even if artwork done by other artists), are found with this technology, the individual(s) responsible will be held accountable to the full extent of the law.

Concept Art

We do not require a reference sheet to make you a full costume, however it is very helpful if you have one. We can recommend you to our concept artist for a reference sheet if you are in search of one prior to a commission with us.

Your concept art can be as simple as a front colored picture of a character for a simple design. Or it can be a front and back colored picture of a character for a more complex character. If you have an artistic freedom design or a ‘generic animal’, with no strong preferences, then no picture is needed. We do NOT accept AI generated art for concept art under any circumstance; not even for a quote.

Payment and Payment Plans

First, make sure you submit a quote form to us, so we can make sure that your costume will be perfect.

When you get the quote back, there will be a payment plan included with it. There, you can further discuss any alterations to your payment plan before a commission with us.

After 2 years (on december 31st, 2 years after your initial quote form submission) your quote will be erased from our system, and you will have to submit another quote when you are ready to commission us. You will also have to submit another quote if we experience a price change/shift.

You will be required to make a Down payment on your commission within 48 hours after submitting a Commission form, unless previously discussed with us (if you need time to transfer money, for example). A down payment can be either one of three choices:

  1. the quoted Payment in full

  2. Half of the total amount of your quote

  3. A lower amount; as agreed upon in a monthly payment plan previously discussed in the quote

If you fail to meet one of these down payments within the time required, then your commission is forfeit.

Please ensure that you are financially ready to make an obligation to your fursuit commission.

Payment methods:

  1. PayPal (Preferred)

  2. Square (preferred)

  3. personal check

  4. Cash

See FAQ for further details.

Additional Payment info

We aim to set up our queue so that it is finished by/before December every year. What this means for payment plans is that you have until the end of the year to finish paying off your costume. If you commission us in January, you have plenty of time to pay off your costume. If you commission us in October, you only have 3 months to pay off your costume. We will notify you if your project is an exception to this.

Once your project is paid off, this is a huge congratulations (and a weight off your chest!) Typically, before your final payment is put in, we will have already ordered your materials, and likely begun some basic work on your commission. Your commission will not be 100% focused on until we reach your name in the queue; we do not skip others in the line.

Missing a payment & making a bigger payment

If you need to miss a payment, inform us as soon as you know. We know that emergencies can get in the way of the things we want. If you keep in touch with us, we will work with you the best we can and negotiate how to get you back on track the following month. If you know several months in advance that you will need to skip a future month, then planning ahead to make a few larger payments or extra payments to cover that missing month would be preferred.

If you have a payment that you were hoping to pay off within the 2-month period and instead you need to pay off in 3 or 4, inform us in the beginning.

If you want to make a larger payment instead of a smaller amount that was originally agreed upon, also notify us. We have a record to keep track of on our end, and this helps us to stay in touch with you. Your monthly payments will still resume as normal the following month unless you wish to discuss a new payment plan.

Completion and Deadlines and Delays

We do not take deadlines!

When the down payment is given, we will give you an approximate month for completion (as seen on trello) and these dates can change/fluctuate due to unforeseen circumstances. We do accept “requests” and will ask you for this during the quote process. The “request” dates are goals, but are still susceptible to change. When delays occur, we will notify and update by posting via social media such as the telegram ‘sk family’ chat, FA, Twitter, etc.

Shipping

We will not ship out your project until the entire commission is paid off.

You are not obligated to pay shipping until your project is complete and upon which you may request pictures of the completed project. At this point you will be required to send the shipping payment.

Shipping is always quoted separately from the project itself. We will ship anywhere in the world for any type of project, though anything outside the USA will cost extra.

If shipping was thought to be underestimated, as can sometimes happen with overnight, 2-day, or international shipping, we will notify you in advance, and you will be required to cover any additional costs after shipping out. Once shipped, we will then inform you of the costs and send you a PayPal invoice & tracking the same day.

We ship via fedex only at this time! If you prefer anything else, please let us know.

Warranty, Repairs, and Alterations

At Sparkle Kreations, LLC, we offer a “Lifetime Basic Repairs” Warranty with all of our products. This warranty covers all basics repairs for the lifetime of the product that you bought. Each product varies in its own lifespan, and depending on how much you wear or use the item and how well you take care of it, that lifespan can be shortened or lengthened as well.

A basic repair is anything that can be fixed within a relatively short amount of time using little materials.
(Example: Timeframe is 1 day or less. a typical fix is a seam pop or a hole appears.)

You will be required to cover the cost of shipping of the item(s) that needs repairs.

We are often able and willing to do moderate-to-major repairs on sk suits as well, for a fee. We can estimate the charge based on what you describe, pictures, or if unable to determine through these methods we will need to see the damage in person. We are also able to take a look at the repairs needed at a convention we are selling at, on a video, or by having the item sent to us in the mail.

If the item simply cannot be fixed and just needs to be replaced, we will notify you of the new replacement item and work cost.

We do not fix/alter items after 3-4 years of wear.
We do not fix/alter murrsuit items.
We do not fix/alter fursuits that are not our own (not Sparkle Kreations products).
We reserve the right to refuse a repair/alteration/adjustment.

Alterations, depending on severity, will be priced as seen fit by us. If the alteration is due to a fault on our end; example, if you received your costume and something doesn’t fit right, we will fix it at no charge to you (Unless the DTD was improperly made, in which we will have contacted you before the bodysuit was constructed, and a new DTD will have to be made and sent to us.)

For more information on alterations please refer to the FAQ or feel free to ask us.

Cancellations

During the process of the commission, we understand that due to one reason or another, you may want or need to cancel.

If you happen to cancel your commission before we order your materials, then you can get a full refund.

Depending on the type of commission you contracted our company to make for you, a certain amount of the payment is non-refundable from materials alone. The prices below do not include extra options you can add onto your project, such as claws, LEDs, silicone pawpads, horns, and more.

These are just the basic amounts of the bare-minimum prices of each category that are non-refundable: (as of october 2021)

Digitigrade Dropped Crotch Fullsuit - $1,217 USD

Digitigrade Fullsuit - $1.186 USD

Plantigrade Fullsuit - $1,087 USD

¾ Partial Suit (Upper or Lower plantigrade) - $969 USD

Full Partial Suit - $882 USD

Mini partial suit - $693 USD

Headpiece - $568 USD

Feetpaws (outdoor) - $149 USD

Handpaws (basic) - $60 USD

Bodysuits (plantigrade) - $366 USD

Tail (average-size) - $50 USD

Any additional work and labor we put into the costume or project is also deducted from the total amount. Currently, we charge $30 per hour (November 2018 Labor Price). If we happen to exceed the total amount that was originally agreed upon, you would not owe us anything, instead we zero out the balance from our miscalculation of the original quote on your project.

When we finish the suit and post pictures, you cannot get a refund at this point.

When you get the suit in the mail, you also cannot get a refund, whether you have worn it or not, and there are no returns.

Refunds are not given all at once, instead they are given monthly in payments; the amount of which will be discussed between the commissioner and Sparkle.

After refunding you the given amount, we keep all the remaining materials that we have from your project. If your project was close to completion, we will sell it off to another person. If it closely resembles your character, you are welcome to request certain aspects be changed, though not all aspects cannot be altered after a certain point in the costume-making process.

Right to decline commissioners

We reserve the right to turn away any work at any time if we chose to do so.

We will turn down work with unattainable or unreasonable ‘deadline requests’, though we will offer other ‘deadline requests’ that may be potential for you.

We reserve the right to cancel your commission at any stage in the progress of your commission if you are: rude, extremely nitpicky, lacking in communication, micromanaging, threatening or dangerous, or otherwise unreasonable to work with. If this becomes the case, you will only be refunded what you are owed, and nothing will be sent to you, materials or any progress on your costume.

If you do not complete your payments, and do not contact us, nor do you respond back to any of our attempts to contact you within 60 days, your commission is considered canceled and all of your payment and materials is surrendered to us and is non-refundable.

If you should receive your product and use the product to copy our patterns/designs, then we reserve the right to demand compensation equal to or greater then the amount of product created from the copied patterns/designs, and you will be required to halt all further use of the patterns/designs for any of your work, personal or commission or otherwise.

Design Changes

If you change your character at any point during the commission process after we begin the pattern work on the body or the foam work on the headpiece, you will be charged the cost to order new materials to reflect the new character and design. All materials from the previous design will be forfeit to us. If we feel we can accommodate your changes despite where our progress is on your project, then we will discuss the fees and changes with you.

If your changes are very drastic, despite where our progress is on your project, and we feel we cannot change anything, then we have the right to not change the project at all and continue with the original commission.

Sizing

A Duct-Tape-Dummy (or DTD) is always required with a bodysuit. At Sparkle Kreations, LLC, we cannot work off of body measurements or a generic shirt/pant size.

All measurement details required from you can be referenced in the FAQ.

Should a poorly made DTD be provided to us, you will be required to make and send another.
